● 12 hours of live streamed live local music through the Loving Weymouth & Portland
● Quayside Music Festival is one of Weymouth’s most popular annual events, loved by
thousands
● Virtual Quayfest is a way of keeping the party going, making sure everyone stays
safe at home, but can still spend the day partying, enjoying a drink and listening to
great local musicians.
● We want to help thank our front line staff through this. We are asking anyone who
can on the day to make a donation to our Just Giving page raising money for Dorset
County Hospital Charity. Web address: www.justgiving.com/team/virtualquayfest
How Virtual Quayfest going to work
● Live Stream is exclusively through Loving Weymouth & Portland. Performers will be
going “live” directly through this page from midday on Sunday April 12th.
● People will be able to listen and watch live, interact with the performers, create
“watch parties” to watch with friends, and stream the music live to their home devices
such as Alexa and Google Hub.
● Between perfomer sets, Steve Mullins and others will be giving “shout outs” to those
watching.
● Live Stream will go on until midnight. That’s 12 hours of live streamed local music.
● We are aware that Facebook’s live stream platform can go down after a while, that’s
why we have a top tech team (Steve, Jack, Andy Senior, Dan Roads) working with
back end servers to ensure minimal to no drops - it’s magic!
