Well, that’s it. The inaugural Photo Weston is over. Gratitude to all who took part. I’m so proud to be a part of our vibrant, creative community in Weston.

Echoes of Belonging: A Celebration of Community and Resilience 📸

We’re excited to invite you to Echoes of Belonging, an inspiring photo exhibition that celebrates the talents and stories of Muslim, Refugee, and Asylum Seeker members of our community who are frequently affected by Islamophobia regardless of personal belief. This powerful collection was created as part of Photo Weston in collaboration with internationally acclaimed photographer Michal Iwanowski, known for his thought-provoking project "Go Home, Polish".

Opening Event: Wednesday, 20th November
Time: 4pm - 7pm
Venue: The Other Place, 81-83 Meadow St, BS23 1QL
A vegetarian supper will be provided.

Join us for the opening, where Michal Iwanowski will share his journey in creating "Go Home, Polish" and his reflections on the concept of "home."

‘Common Waves’ & ‘Go Home Polish’ continues on the Italian Gardens off the High Street until 22nd November. If you missed this collaboration between Michal Iwanowski & service users Refugees Welcome North Somerset / Race Equality North Somerset / The Other Place do go take a look.

Thank you to everyone that came to the opening of ‘Estuary’ last night. The project has been a hugely rewarding experience to deliver. Working with such a motivated group of participants from across our community has inspired ideas for future collaborations.

The exhibition, curated by is open Wednesday - Sunday until the 22nd November.

Now for a couple of days rest - more from us soon!
