Wakehurst Willow 8k
Hi all

We wanted to let you know that the Wakehurst Willow 8k won’t take place in July next year. Wakehurst have decided that the weekly parkrun, and a busy calendar of other events, mean there is little room for our annual race.

The Willow has taken place seven times since 2017 and has always been a sell out. This is sad news for all those who love the Willow and for the hosts, Haywards Heath Harriers. Nevertheless, Wakehurst have promised to review their decision this time next year so the door is still slightly ajar.

Many thanks to all of you who have run or volunteered at the Willow over the years. Also, special thanks to its founding father, Ian Dumbrell.

Well, it’s getting rather close now Willowers! Less than a month to go!

We’ve shared the lovely medals so here’s a look at the trophies! And, while it’s not all about speed, we do think they are rather nice!

We are down to the last 40 places (big thanks to the community sharing our last post 🙏). One more push from everyone and we should have a sell out.
