We’re proud to introduce another of our Apply to Play winners, in partnership with Amplead: The Zebecks! 🌟

Formed in Elgin, N-E Scotland, The Zebecks are four lifelong best friends whose music journey began as teenagers in 2019. In pursuit of their sound, they moved 200 miles south to Glasgow, creating a fresh modernisation of 2000s/2010s Scottish indie — think anthemic choruses, emo pop vocals with a Scottish lilt, and touches of trad and poetry influence.

Their hard work has paid off: they’ve played sold-out shows with Glasvegas, Been Stellar, Basht., and Declan Welsh, and been named one of BBC Radio Scotland’s “25 Artists to Watch in 2025.” From headlining King Tut’s in Glasgow to playing Liverpool Sound City, these guys are making waves — and we can’t wait to see them light up Wakefield!

Catch The Zebecks on Saturday 5th July at Wake Up Festival.

We’re thrilled to welcome one of our Apply to Play winners, in partnership with Amplead: Harry Lyon! 🌟

A performer, songwriter, and producer, Harry Lyon has been chasing music since he first picked out a tune on the piano at just eight years old. By twelve, he’d already formed his first band, and he’s been immersed in all aspects of music ever since, honing his craft and learning from every experience.

Expect heartfelt songs, a voice that hits right in the feels, and a performance you’ll remember.

We’re buzzing to announce that Leeds’ own GRAVY are heading to Wakefield for Wake Up Festival 2025, playing live on Saturday 5th July! 🔥

Formed in 2021 when they were just 14 and 15, Gravy have fast become a staple of the West Yorkshire music scene. With packed-out shows at The Brudenell, Stylus, and The Wardrobe, they’ve built a loyal following who know every word.

Ben O’Halloran (guitar), Louis Tuxworth (drums), Jacob Priestley (bass), and Harrison Bailey (vocals/guitar) deliver post-punk indie anthems packed with dance-worthy riffs and sing-along hooks. With a sound that nods to the golden era of early 2000s Leeds, Gravy are bringing that raw energy to Wakefield — and you won’t want to miss it.

We’re thrilled to welcome KEO to Wake Up Festival 2025, performing live in Wakefield on Saturday 5th July!

Led by brothers Finn and Conor Keogh, KEO are a London-based four-piece blending 90s grunge, shoegaze, and alternative rock into something urgent and cathartic. Their debut single, I Lied, Amber, introduced their raw, guitar-driven sound, while follow-up Fly—recorded live to tape with Brett Shaw (Foals, Florence + The Machine)—cemented their rising status.

After opening the Rainbow Stage at BST Hyde Park in 2024 alongside Kings of Leon and The Vaccines, KEO’s momentum has only grown. Their recent headline tour sold out in no time, with fans packing out venues across the UK.

With a sound influenced by Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, and Fontaines D.C., KEO are one of the most exciting new names in alternative rock—and their Wakefield debut is set to be unforgettable.
