🐾 Meet Mr Marlow 🐾

At 9 years young, Mr Marlow is one of our much-loved search dogs and a very important member of the team. ❤️

Marlow is licensed to Home Office-approved standards and has years of experience behind him. He’s incredibly dedicated, focused and, of course, has that amazing nose that makes him so good at what he does! 🐕‍🦺🔎

But behind the training and experience is a lovely character who has given so much over the years. We’re incredibly proud of him and everything he continues to do.

Here’s to Marlow — still showing everyone how it’s done! ❤️🐾

Stepping into the fire service at 37 years old, I wasn’t sure if I was stepping into my full potential or just testing my limits.

For a long time, dyslexia brought a heavy dose of self-doubt. Leaving school with no formal qualifications only reinforced the belief that I was falling behind. When traditional education isn't built for the way your brain processes information, it’s easy to believe your potential is capped before you even begin.

But over time, I learned that dyslexia isn’t a limitation—it’s a different operating system.
Starting from absolute zero forces you to build your own blueprint. It demands relentless problem-solving, deep adaptability, and an unshakable drive to find a way through, no matter the barrier. With no paper credentials to open doors, I had to earn every inch of credibility through practical ex*****on, sharp instincts, and direct results.

That same drive led me to build my own security and search business, specializing exclusively in K9s. Choosing a niche and growing the company organically from scratch required patience, focus, and trusting my gut.
Dyslexia taught me to look at complex operational challenges differently, rely on hands-on action, and stay resilient when things got tough.

Applying those hard-won lessons to the fire service changed everything.
Walking out of training school at 37 with the Silver Axe award was a defining moment. It was proof that when determination takes over, self-doubt loses its power—and that school qualifications never defined my ceiling in the first place.

I truly believe the fire service has brought out the absolute best in me, showing that life experience, self-built resilience, and a neurodivergent mindset are genuine strengths in high-pressure environments.
To anyone battling self-doubt, starting over with no credentials, or navigating neurodiversity while chasing a new path: the way your brain works isn't holding you back. It might just be the very thing that sets you apart.

Baseline Security Services had the honour of being the face of RJA Security's K9 deployment at the Farnborough International Airshow 2026.

This was a massive operation, and RJA's standards are truly world-leading. No stone is left unturned when working with them, and their professionalism sets the benchmark.

The Farnborough International Airshow is one of the world's premier aerospace and defence events, bringing together over 1,400 exhibitors, hundreds of international delegations and more than 100,000 industry visitors from across the globe. It is a showcase of cutting-edge aviation, innovation and security on an international stage.

Due to the extreme heat, we deployed additional NACTUS-P teams to provide greater flexibility for deployments while maintaining the highest standards of welfare for both our handlers and dogs.

With over 1,000 vehicles searched, this was a huge undertaking. Thanks to the professionalism, teamwork and dedication of everyone involved, the operation was delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

A huge thank you to every member of the Baseline Security Services team—you all excelled and represented the company with pride. Special thanks also to our dedicated control room team, whose coordination and support ensured everything ran smoothly from start to finish.

We are incredibly proud to have supported such a prestigious international event alongside RJA Security. Another outstanding team effort from everyone involved.
