Easter Monday golf society at Hever golf club in the sunshine with 28 golfers. The course was in great condition and the greens fast for April. Congratulations to Micky Mantle with 38 points and r/up with 37 points was Phil Collins beating Kane Russel on countback. Phil Collins playing in form also got ntp in 2. Ntp went to Tim Davies, Mark B, Mike Fiksen & Micky. The 2’s pot was shared by Tim, Jimmy Phillips, Bobby (on his debut), Tommy Painter and Mike Fiksen. Fun days on the golf course.

First golf society of the year in March for 25 golfers at Dale Hill. Congratulations to the Winner of the day on his debut for PWGS was John Phillips with 35 points. R/up on countback with 33 points was Mark Barnett beating Simon Heale by the back 6 holes. Ntp went to Simon, JP, Kane, Trevor and Maria. Ntp in 2 was won by Phil Collins and the only 2 of the day Kane took the £50.

September last golf day of the year at Surrey National in the sun. Won by Tim Davies with 40 points beating Jazzy by 1 point. Ntp winners were Angie, Tim, Jazzy and Gary Barham who also won ntp in 2. Congratulations to Tim for also winning Player of the Year 2025. Thank you to everyone who has supported PW golf society and we look forward to our golf days in 2026.

Our Chris Marsh Memorial Golf Day at Lamberhurst Golf club was on a hot day with 38 golfers. Chris’s old friends Tony and Iggy Crouch came along to join us. We welcomed a new group to our Society who all enjoyed their day. In 1st place with 39 points was Gary Barham playing off 18 who will now be cut. Angie came 2nd with 37 points and we paid out also 3rd place to Macca and Dan the Cab with 36 points. Ntp went to Steve Kelly, Peter Hobbs, Gary Barham and ntp in 2 on the 18th went to Trevor. Welcome back to Jim Wrisberg who got nearest the line. The food was delicious and even with a large number the day ran very smoothly with lots refreshments needed.

Sunny day yesterday for our golf society at Bearsted Golf club. The course was in great condition. Full house 32 people played with an average score of 29 points. Winner of the day was Tim Davis 39 points, 2nd place Kane Ramsell 36 points and Del coming in 3rd with 34 points. Ntp went to Tim, Tony Atkins, Dan the cab,Tony Bowdery and Kane winning ntp in 2. 2’s pot winners were Tony Bowdery and Dan the cab. Let’s hope the sun carries on shining.

First golf society of the year in March was at Kingshill with a great group of 30 golfers. For the first time ever SAM DAY cleared up winning 37 points on count backs as well as a ntp and the only one with a 2 winning another £60. Mark Barnett came 2nd and Tim Davis 3rd with 36 points. Other ntp winners were Del, Richard Blackman and Phil Collins with Kane winning ntp in 2.

Golf season in the sun has arrived. April event was at Pedham Place which was playing with great rolls on the fairway and quick greens . Average score for 24 golfers was 34 points. Nearest the pins went to Peter Henley, Angie, Lorraine, Phil Collins and Dan the Cab. Tony won nearest the pin in 2. Lorraine Mears being the only won to get a 2 scooped up the £48 pounds. The winner on countback with 40 points was TONY ATKINS beating Luke miller and George Bowdery both on 40 points as well.
