Hello, I’m Mike Moss, a Wedding & Portrait photographer based in Thelwall, Cheshire. I love my work and consider myself to be a very lucky person. I have the pleasure in photographing people in happy situations at many great locations. Whether people are getting married, just had a baby or all together as a family, I love to capture the moment with my camera. I have enjoyed photography for most of

my life (thanks to my Dad and his dark room) and well before digital photography, Photoshop, Facebook and online galleries! I have been photographing Weddings and Portraits for several years now and during which time I have had the pleasure of meeting and photographing many people. To be able to capture memories and know that the photographs I take will be looked at for many years to come, truly is a huge honour and privilege. I pride myself on providing each of my clients with a very friendly, professional and attentive service. My aim with the packages I offer is to get the very best service at a really good price. My skill in capturing your unique pictures is complemented by the many hours of work following your Wedding or Portrait session. Each image is carefully checked and edited to make sure I am completely happy with it. This is obviously all included in the price as standard. I am a member of the Society of Weddings and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) and work to their rules of conduct. I am also fully insured and CRB checked. I've had the pleasure of photographing 4 nights at the Parr Hall, Warrington for the Primary Arts Network. It's been incredible to watch and photograph 38 performances from Schools around Warrington. With well over 1000 Children having the experience of performing on stage in front of family, friends and staff. Certainly memories Children will keep forever, especially when some were as young as six. All Schools from the first three nights have been emailed with the links/passwords to their photographs, and I'm currently working on the final night and will share with Schools once complete.

Each season offers it's unique setting for an outdoor family photoshoot. And Autumn never fails to deliver on the perfect backdrop. As we move into spring and the colours change, I just wanted to share some photos of one of my portrait sessions with a lovely family of 6. I capture Remembrance Sunday each year we attend in Warrington. This year was extra special as all three of our Daughters were parading, our middle Daughter had the honour of laying the Wreath for their unit and I was also asked by to photograph the event this year. It was really nice to see a small selection of my photographs online and in the Newspaper this week. One of the pictures they chose to publish was of my eldest. Feeling very proud.

A little walk round Dunham today. Autumn colours were amazing so thought I'd take my camera. Couldn't get too close to the Deers due to the Rutting season, but managed to sneak a few from a distance. Thank you Dunham Massey National Trust, always a pleasure to visit.

I always love to capture Prom photographs, and when it's one of your own Daughter's it makes it even more special. Phoebe's School Prom and the end of High School. What a fantastic day it turned out to be and a great evening at Walton Hall for all of Year 11. We just have 2 years now to prepare for the 6th Form Prom!

Thelwall 1100 Legacies – we need your pictures!
We’re producing a Commemorative Book of images from the Thelwall 1100 Festival. I photographed the events I attended, but we need more!

Can you share your pictures of any of the following?
• Enjoying the Cream Tea & Fizz at Laskey Farm and Gardens
• The Ballad and Blues Folk Night
• Thelwall Junior School Open day
• Special finds on the Family Treasure Hunt
• A fish you caught at ‘Experience Fishing’
• Thelwall Station Model Railway
• Something that caught your eye on one of the History Walks
• Pictures of celebrations in the church on the Thursday and Sunday 21/24 September
• Photographs of any organisers, volunteers, refreshment team
• Any displays from the various events
• If you have a nice photo that captures one of our 1100 events not listed above, please do send it over.

Please can you send any images in their original size so they don’t lose quality to me at [email protected] along with your name and any information about the picture. The final selection will be made by our working group who will make sure contributors are acknowledged in the final publication. Who knows – in a hundred years, Thelwall residents could be looking at your photos of 2023!

Another great weekend for the Thelwall 1100 festival activities. I was asked to capture the History walks that took place along Weaste Lane and the old Thelwall Railway and the Experience Fishing at Pickering Bridge. Both were very informative and fun. Thanks to all the volunteers who make these free activities happen.
