*** Water's Edge Fest 2026v Announcement ***

A note to inform you that I have taken the difficult decision to not run a Waters Edge Festival in 2026.

We have had 5 amazing festivals since I launched the Water’s Edge Fest, however with rising costs in all areas, ticket sales slowing down year on year, combined with the general financial climate in businesses meaning the level of sponsorship dropping has meant that I feel 2026 would be a step to far , and too much risk for us.

General infrastructure such as the marquees, toilets, fencing, power, bar fit out services, sound, stage and lighting have all increased considerably, this coupled with increases in staffing costs, security and ancillary items means that a festival is becoming harder to make it viable without having more numbers through the gates.

We are however looking to put more focus into our superb “Racked & Tapped’ Beer Festival that will take place on Sat 25th July. This is a festival that I really want to grow into something far bigger, I have some great ideas for this event, but we do need you to back it, whether that’s in terms of buying a ticket or supporting through sponsorship.

The beer fest is already far more than a beer festival, it is a smaller version of our Waters Edge Fest, without the water, I guess … A day full of stunning beers, live music and much more… With more to come!

So, it is not goodbye to the Water’s Edge Festival, but we will give it a rest for now and see how 2026 comes along…

We hope you can come along and enjoy the beer festival with us or support it through sponsorship, it is so important to have events like this in our hometown!

Finally, I want to thank everyone that has supported the previous five Water’s Edge Festivals, they have been a blast, and I truly hope they will be back after a little rest!

*** WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT ***

We are striving to establish the Racked & Tapped Newport Beer Festival as an annual event, aiming to make it BIGGER & BETTER than ever. However, we cannot achieve this without your invaluable support.

We need your help!

We have an array of fantastic ideas to transform this into a significant annual event that will put Newport on the map. It's not just about beer and music; we envision much more. Before we can expand and enhance this wonderful local event, we require backing from all residents and businesses in the community.

We are seeking commitment from each of you, whether through purchasing tickets early and attending the festival or by sponsoring the event in various capacities. Our sponsorship options start at just £60 plus VAT, making it accessible for everyone!

Here are some sponsorship ideas and options that cater to various budgets, allowing you to get involved and help elevate Newport on the event scene:

* Purchase tickets early to show your commitment to the traders and festival organisers.
* Sponsor a cask of ale.
* Support a band.
* Main Stage Sponsorship.
* Become an Overall Festival Sponsor.
* Corporate Sponsors—bring your team for a fantastic team-building day and a treat from the boss!

Additional sponsorship opportunities include:

* Banner Advertising
* Stage Shout Outs
* Product Placement & Promotion

We hope you can join us in supporting and growing this remarkable event, which has sold out on the last two occasions. We would love to expand it further, increase the size of the marquee, and introduce even more exciting elements to what is already a fantastic day and evening.

Can you help us develop something that truly highlights Newport and makes our town an amazing place for locals while showcasing its friendly spirit to visitors from afar?

We have some great ideas to make this very special indeed!

If you are interested please drop us a message, email [email protected] or call Darren on 07896 664084 and we can discuss our ideas with you.

If you didn't manage to come along to our first 'Up Close & Personal' acoustic music session then please do come and support the next one with the truly amazing Nikki Rous

I first booked Nikki back in 2015 where she performed on a regular basis for us at our renowned 'Sunday Sessions', the moment I decided to try a few intimate acoustic sessions at the Stag & Scotch she was the one person I thought of immediately!

Nikki Rous is a local acoustic singer-songwriter and portrait artist. She has been performing her self-penned songs with guitar in hand for over 30 years. For the content of her songwriting, she draws on relatable experiences as well as the emotional challenges of living with disability which produces some very honest and heartfelt songs.

What she crafts is emotive, passionate and moving. She also enjoys putting her own individual stamp on well known cover songs. Over the years Nikki has developed a connected and buoyant rapport with her audiences which makes her performance both scintillating and a genuinely memorable experience.

Nikki has performed alongside and opened up shows for artists such as Jamiroquai, Level 42, James, Miles Hunt, Tom Robinson, Dick Valentine (Electric Six), Nick Harper and many more.

She has graced the stages of venues including The Wolves Civic Halls, The Wulfrun, The Jamhouse, The Glee Club, The Robin 2 and Tamworth Assembly Rooms as well as music festivals up and down the country such as Solfest, Nozstock, Lakefest, Sistafest, Farmer Phil’s Fest and Sunrise Celebration to name a few.

Due to the size of our venue tickets are very limited, so book now to avoid disappointment!

Monday 13th October at 7pm.
