Creative journaling is about so much more than just putting paint on paper—it’s about connection, exploration, and growth.

Over the last few weeks, our wonderful art group has done just that - made new friends, embraced new techniques, and shared their personal journeys.

Next Thursday 11th June, we want to celebrate their amazing work with you. Join us at the Fred Winter Centre between 12pm and 2pm to see the finished art journals and meet the facilitators, Ali and Mel. Everyone is welcome!

Looking for a creative plan for the half term? Join the team from Make Murals and Workshops CIC tomorrow for a street art style workshop at Bishops Tachbrook!

Young people aged 16 and under can work with spray paint, stencils, and paint pens to help us bring colour to The Pod, plus create your own canvas art to take home. The workshop is completely free to attend and activities can be adapted for younger children.

It's going to be a hot day tomorrow, so please make sure to bring along water bottles, sun hats, and sun cream to stay safe in the sun! ☀️

Aprons, masks, and gloves are provided, but please wear old clothes and shoes you don't mind getting a bit of paint on. See you there!

Big thank yous to: Warwickshire County Council for inviting us to be part of the brilliant Blank Canvas Project, Galanos Community Hub & Cafe for hosting a lovely workshop to inform the design, Crown Paints for supporting as part of their Project Possible initiative, Stratford District Council for installing the boards - and to everyone from the super supportive Southam community who stopped by to chat and bring snacks!!

Blank Canvas is a community art project, funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund via Warwickshire County Council. Ten murals will be installed in locations around the county, each reflecting the place they are in, and containing a Warwickshire Bear. Each piece is designed by a local artist working with a local community group, so that voices of the community are captured in the process.

Reminder: Ali & Mel’s workshops for the “Power To The People” project are starting next Thursday, 16th October, from 12-2pm at the Fred Winter Centre!

Come along and transform your unique stories and memories of Doug into vibrant artistic pieces using paints, pens, and canvas. Your creations will then be featured in the final exhibition in January!

We’ve had such a brilliant time and created amazing work so far with Spoz on storytelling and Hatty on ceramics—don’t miss out on this final set of free creative sessions!

These workshops are proudly funded by the Street Arts Project, in loving memory of Doug Armstrong. Free lunch will be provided!

A lovely write up from Stratford upon Avon Town Council about the wonderful volunteer led community hub Ken Kennett Centre, Stratford-Upon-Avon - transformed by brilliant artist Phill Blake for the Paint Stratford mural trail. A perfect example of how community collaboration can make local life a little more beautiful! Big thanks to all involved!!
