2024 RACE INFORMATION
THE RACE IS FULL, AS SUCH WE WILL NOT BE JTAKING ON THE DAY ENTRIES
RACE HQ - Number collection, toilets, changing and bag store: St Michael's First School, Weaver's Lane, Stone. ST15 8QB.
9am start (note: earlier start for 2024!) from the junction of Priory Road and De Wint Road (ST15 8NT), a 400 metre walk from the school.
Runners please assemble in Weaver's Lane by 8.50am.
CHIPS AND RACE NUMBERS MUST BE COLLECTED AT LEAST 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF THE RACE
Male and Female changing and toilet facilities are available at the school, but no showers. We have a supervised security room in which you can leave your kit. The route is a fully marshaled and coned off 2 lap course along the A51 and A34 with lead motorbike and back-up vehicle.
We have one of the UK's fastest and flattest courses where PB's are almost guaranteed! We have prizes for all age groups. Prizes will be presented as soon as possible after the race in the school hall.
The race limit is 500. Whilst we may be able to accept entries on the day, the race normally fills up at least 1 month before race day, so please enter promptly to secure your place!
Entrants must be at least 15 years of age on race day. Our course is unsuitable for wheelchairs. Use headphones / earphones strictly prohibited for safety reasons, any runners found using music players will be disqualified. Bone conduction type headphones are permitted.
Refreshments available at the finish, rasing funds for the school's PTA.
No dogs on the school grounds please.
PARKING
Strictly no parking in Weaver's Lane or the school entrance. To alleviate congestion on the course, around the school and housing estates, parking is available in the following areas:
Main Car Park:
Westbridge Park. ST15 8EX: Free Sunday parking. A short job / walk along the canal to the race start. Marshals will be on hand to direct you.
Alternative Parking:
Crown Street Car Park. ST15 8AS: Public parking and toilets are available in Crown Street. Pick up the canal at Westbridge Park, this takes you to the start as above.
Station Road and Margaret Street. ST15 8EW On street parking, free on Sundays.
Stone Cricket Club. ST15 8NS: Situated along Lichfield Road and parking for 20 cars. Limited parking near the start but please consider residents in this area.
