The bridal veil hasn’t always looked or meant what it does today. 👰‍

In the 1830s, veils weren’t exclusively bridal. Bridesmaids and even wedding guests could wear them too.

By the mid-19th century, the image of the bride in a white dress and lace veil had become increasingly established, particularly during the Victorian era.
Bridal white also became strongly associated with ideas of purity and romantic propriety.

Today, the veil is much more about personal style, with everything from short understated designs to dramatic cathedral-length veils.

A tradition that evolved into one of the most recognisable bridal accessories. ✨
