Well done to the 1436 runners who completed the Southwold Half Marathon today!! We hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did.

A big thank you to all the wonderful volunteers (we have already seen so many comments about how amazing they were, and we couldn't agree more), the local community, councils and businesses in Southwold and Walberswick for your support, our first aiders, and Discreet Security Limited traffic marshals who kept you safe on course.

Just over 12 hours to go until the Southwold Half Marathon 2026! 🎉🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

The course is set, the start and finish line is ready, and your well-earned medals (along with doughnuts and cookies!!) will be waiting for you when you are done. It’s shaping up to be a great day!

We’re keeping our fingers crossed for dry weather, but after a very wet couple of months, there are still a few puddles out on the route. We’ve resurfaced sections of the course, dug drainage trenches for the larger puddles, and added sand to muddier footpaths to help keep your feet as dry as possible. The puddles left are avoidable, just please take care on the footpaths/gravel sections.

We can’t wait to welcome you bright and early tomorrow.

You have until Thursday the 12th to transfer your entry. After that, transfers will be CLOSED.

The Southwold Half Marathon is an amazing event to be a part of whether you are running or volunteering. We kindly need some volunteers to help marshal on the day. Roles include race check-in, on-course marshals, and finish line support. Volunteer locations in Southwold and Walberswick.
