The new Nissan Micra is here… and it looks ready for battle.

Set to One Battle After Another, this one felt like the perfect match — sharp looks, big attitude, and a proper sense that the Micra is coming back with something to prove.
• Bold new design
• Big personality for a small car
• One of the most interesting small EVs we’ve seen in a while

Safe to say the Micra is not micro on confidence.

What do you reckon — has Nissan nailed the comeback?

Did you know the right tyres can actually help your electric car go further?

That’s one of the clever details on this Nissan Micra. It’s fitted with Hankook iON evo tyres, which are engineered specifically for EVs.
• Lower rolling resistance to help improve efficiency
• Less road noise for a quieter drive
• Tyres designed to suit the demands of electric cars

turns out a lot of EV performance is where the rubber literally meets the road.

Would you spend more on the right tyres if it meant more range and a quieter drive?

If you’re getting an electric car, this is one app well worth downloading straight away.

Zapmap makes EV charging much easier by showing you where chargers are, whether they’re available, how powerful they are and how much they cost. On some networks, you can even pay in the app too.

It’s one of those simple tools that takes a lot of the guesswork out of public charging, especially if you’re new to EVs.

What’s the one app or tip you’d give someone buying their first electric car?

“If it ain’t broke… should you still upgrade it?” 👀⚡

We’re back behind the wheel of the Polestar 3 — a car that already blew us away last year. Fast, refined, packed with tech… but now it’s had a refresh. So the big question is: have they actually made it better, or just different?
• ⚡ Performance still delivers that proper EV punch
• 🧠 Tech upgrades… but are they actually useful day-to-day?
• 🎨 And let’s be honest… which colour are you picking?

So… what do you reckon — improve perfection or leave it alone?

A little CES 2026 throwback for you.

The Donut Lab stand was one of those spots that just looked cool from every angle.

Between the Verge motorcycle and the solid-state battery tech on display, it felt like a proper glimpse at where future mobility could be heading.

No big explanation needed on this one — just a few very cool shots from one of the standout stands at the show.

What do you reckon — would you ride something that looks like this?

I’ve said it before — every good car needs a proper party trick.

And the Lucid Gravity might have one of the best I’ve seen in ages.

Yes, it has a frunk. But Lucid have gone a step further and turned it into a little sit-down area too, complete with cup holders, a plug socket for your devices, and lighting.

It’s clever, a bit different, and exactly the sort of feature that makes people stop and smile.

Party trick? Tick.
Useful? Also tick.
Showing off to your mates at a charging stop? Very much tick.

What do you reckon — gimmick or genius?

This is one of those EV features that instantly makes sense the second you see it.

Because there’s no engine up front, the Lucid Gravity can use that space far more cleverly than a normal SUV. The result? Flat floors, flexible seating, loads of room to stretch out, and a cabin that feels more like a lounge than a car.

Perfect for big road trips, charging stops, or just making family travel feel a bit less cramped.

And the clever bit is it still brings serious range and serious performance too.

This isn’t just an electric SUV. It’s a whole new way to use a car.

What do you reckon — would you swap a traditional SUV for something like this?

Volvo EX90 boot test: how big is it in real life?
We throw in the golf clubs (passes the golf club challenge with ease) and then ask the important question… could we fit Callum the cameraman in there too? 😂

If you’re looking at big EV SUVs through Select Car Leasing, this kind of practicality is the difference between “nice car” and “actually works for life”. And when you’re heading out on longer drives, Zapmap helps keep charging planning simple.

What do you test a boot with first — pram, dog, golf clubs, or shopping bags? 👇

Volvo EX90 dad-proof seat test 👀

✅ easy to use?
🦵 third row legroom?
😅 adults… not really.

If you’re comparing family EVs (Select Car Leasing) and planning longer trips (Zapmap), this is the detail that actually matters.
Would you use row 3 often? 👇

Volvo EX90 — honest question… is it worth £100k?
We talk price first, then jump inside because the interior is where it starts making a strong case (calm luxury, clever storage, proper family-friendly touches).

If you’re comparing big EV SUVs through Select Car Leasing, it’s one to have on your shortlist — and for longer drives, Zapmap keeps charging planning simple.

Would you pay it? 👇
