Bute Yard, on Scotland’s Isle of Bute, is a modern, multi-use events venue with a taste for food & drink. It brings to life the vision of the late Johnny Bute, 7th Marquess of Bute, with its dual purpose of developing the Isle of Bute economy and its community through a collaborative approach. Bute Yard has partnered with the award-winning Isle of Bute Distillery, Bute Brew Co., Isle of Bute Smokehouse and ButeKitchen to bring the very best food & drink experiences Bute has to offer to the public, visitors and event organisers. Isle of Bute Distillery runs its distillery, including all tasting sessions and tours, from Bute Yard. The distillery’s relocation to Bute Yard also marks the return of Bute Brew Co, the island’s much-loved craft brewery, taking charge of the front bar. The Isle of Bute Smokehouse, founded in 1888 and still using Scotland’s oldest continuous production fish smoking kiln, will deliver smoked salmon, kippers and trout to order from Bute Yard. ButeKitchen, a local community initiative, will provide a range of delectable local and artisan foods and products to the public through market activities. A unique venue on the island, Bute Yard offers food & drink facilities, indoor and outdoor event spaces, as well as permanent and pop-up rental space. ☀️ WHAT A FANTASTIC NOVEMBER MARKET!

The sun was shining, the Yard was buzzing, and over 700 visitors joined us for another brilliant Sunday Market!

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along to shop, eat, socialise and support our wonderful independent traders.

To all our fantastic market vendors, thank you for bringing such an amazing selection of products, creativity and talent to the Yard. You really are what makes our markets so special!

A big thank you to Tattie Bagel, Smoke & Mac and The Crumbleologist for keeping everyone well fed throughout the day, and to Isle of Bute Distillery for keeping the drinks flowing!

A special mention to Positive Pedals, who were busy throughout the day helping visitors with bike repairs and maintenance, as well as running a fantastic competition to win a bike! What a brilliant addition to the market.

And a huge thank you to Bute Resilience for their support in helping us safely welcome over 700 guests through our doors.

There’s something really special about seeing Bute Yard full of people, familiar faces catching up, families enjoying the sunshine and visitors discovering everything our independent businesses have to offer.

A new month, another fantastic market at Bute Yard!

Join us this Sunday 1st November, from 10am–4pm, for another brilliant day of shopping, food and good company.

With almost 40 independent traders joining us across our Main Hall, Tipi and Courtyard, there's plenty to discover!

From original artwork, handmade jewellery and beautiful crafts to candles, ceramics, clothing, homewares, local produce and delicious treats, our November Market has something for everyone.

And with Christmas just around the corner, it's the perfect opportunity to get a head start on your festive shopping while supporting independent businesses!

We will also be joined by POSITIVE PEDALS who will be running a Dr Service.
