Bute Yard

Bute Yard Welcome to Bute Yard, a multi-use events venue with a taste for food and drink on the Isle of Bute.
(1)

Bute Yard, on Scotland’s Isle of Bute, is a modern, multi-use events venue with a taste for food & drink. It brings to life the vision of the late Johnny Bute, 7th Marquess of Bute, with its dual purpose of developing the Isle of Bute economy and its community through a collaborative approach. Bute Yard has partnered with the award-winning Isle of Bute Distillery, Bute Brew Co., Isle of Bute Smoke

house and ButeKitchen to bring the very best food & drink experiences Bute has to offer to the public, visitors and event organisers. Isle of Bute Distillery runs its distillery, including all tasting sessions and tours, from Bute Yard. The distillery’s relocation to Bute Yard also marks the return of Bute Brew Co, the island’s much-loved craft brewery, taking charge of the front bar. The Isle of Bute Smokehouse, founded in 1888 and still using Scotland’s oldest continuous production fish smoking kiln, will deliver smoked salmon, kippers and trout to order from Bute Yard. ButeKitchen, a local community initiative, will provide a range of delectable local and artisan foods and products to the public through market activities. A unique venue on the island, Bute Yard offers food & drink facilities, indoor and outdoor event spaces, as well as permanent and pop-up rental space. It’s ideal for special celebrations, markets, festivals, workshops, entertainment and community events. Follow us to keep your finger on the pulse of our progress and to ensure you don’t miss out on any opportunities to join us on this exciting journey!

🍕 FRIDAY PIZZA NIGHTS AT BUTE YARD 🍕

Every Friday, Pawel's Kitchen Hub takes over the kitchen with his popular Pizza Pop-Up, serving from 12pm–8.30pm.

Choose your base sauce, your cheese, your toppings and build a pizza that's uniquely yours.

All dough is made fresh each week, using Pawel's years of experience and passion for great food.

Pizzas start from just £9.50 for a Margherita, making it a great value family meal and an easy way to kick off the weekend.

But it's not just pizza...

Alongside the pizza menu you'll also find hand-cut chips and a weekly special dish, which could be anything from haddock and chips to burgers and other favourites.

And if you've still got room afterwards, Pawel usually has a tempting selection of desserts available too, including favourites such as homemade sticky toffee pudding and Belgian waffles with ice cream.

THANK YOU ❤️

What a day.

Our 3rd Birthday Market was everything we hoped it would be and more, and that’s entirely down to the incredible people who continue to support Bute Yard month after month.

Yesterday saw:

42 market vendors

5 food vendors

10 musicians

8 venue staff

4 alpacas

Over 1000 visitors

3½ hours to set up

2½ hours to pack down

But more importantly, it brought together hundreds of people who chose to spend their Sunday supporting local businesses, local artists, local food producers and our island community.

A huge thank you to every single vendor who travelled, unloaded, set up their stall and brought their passion and creativity to the market.

To our food vendors who kept everyone fed throughout the day.

To the musicians who filled the yard with great music from start to finish.

To Leafield Alpacas for bringing plenty of smiles and photo opportunities.

To our team and Bute resilience who worked tirelessly before, during and after the event.

And finally, to every visitor who came through the doors, bought from a stall, grabbed a coffee, enjoyed some food, listened to the music, took part in the scavenger hunt or simply spent time with friends and family.

Three years ago Bute Yard held its first Sunday Market. Seeing over a thousand people now enjoying the space together is something we’re incredibly proud of.

Thank you for helping us celebrate our third birthday.

Next Market is on Sunday 5 July.

See you there ❤️
