What a beautiful afternoon of folklore, stories, makers and community at the Buttermarket for the Folk Fayre.

A huge thank you to Lally Macbeth and The Folk Archive for filling the courtyard with such a thoughtful celebration of all things local and folk, marking the paperback release of The Lost Folk.

From books, records and vintage finds to Morris dancing and an incredible array of stalls at the bottom of Fore Street, curated by Make A Mends, it was one of those special Redruth days full of creativity, conversation and exploring - all alongside street food, sunshine and a buzzing courtyard atmosphere.

Last chance to try Cob Cantina at the Buttermarket!

As the team shifts their focus back to their Silco kitchen, their pop-up Cob Cantina is serving up one last round of favourites before 30th May - and the bites are seriously worth it. Think loaded nachos and smashed crispy fried tacos packed with Mexican-spiced meat, served with a dunkable enchilada sauce on the side.

BUT don’t worry, crêpe fans… while one pop-up wraps up, this means Little Lemon Crepes is sticking around with their pop-up for a little longer than expected, and we CANNOT wait for a summer full of sweet and savoury magic!

Bold flavours, sunny courtyard hangs, and plenty still to tuck into at the Buttermarket.

Thank you Judy!

Thank you Judy!

A huge thank you to Judy Davidson MBE, who founded Redruth Revival CIC more than 15 years ago and is now stepping down as Chair, while continuing on as a Director.

Judy brought together Redruth Revival and led projects that have supported Redruth’s regeneration, creativity and community spirit ever since, including bringing the Buttermarket project to life.

Incoming Chair Ross Williams MBE shared:

“Judy brought us together as a small group of activists to set up Redruth Revival more than 15 years ago and ever since then she has been our chair and a driving force in our development and success. She’s now stepping down from that role, and as the Incoming Chair, I want to say how much we’ve all admired her integrity and her commitment to Redruth - we’re delighted that she’s staying on as a director.”

Thank you, Judy, for your leadership, dedication and belief in Redruth ❤️

Sunday Soundtrack is your weekly Sunday at the Buttermarket, starting Sunday 31st May with a launch party to kick things off.

A rotating mix of street food from our street food kitchens, drinks from Earles Bar, and easy-going soundtracks from familiar Buttermarket DJs and resident musicians including Tadhg Cullen, Tom Dale and DJ Tim Hendy.

Some weeks bring live courtyard gigs, some lean into laid-back funk and soul sets, but every Sunday is built around good food, good sound, and sunny vibes at the Buttermarket. It’s all about long lunches, easy afternoons, and catching up without rushing off anywhere!
