♣️♣️ 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐈𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐓𝐀𝐒 𝐁𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐎𝐔𝐓𝐒 ♣️♣️
What a day! The Oireachtas Blackouts brought joy, laughter, and an incredible sense of togetherness - proving that when you strip away the wigs and the bling, what truly shines is community in dance.
Phenomenal Pairs had us grinning from ear to ear, from the tiniest first reelers to dancers pulling off splits, somersaults, and a show-stopping Barbie Girl dance! That’s the spirit we love.
A huge shoutout to the young people and adults who paired with young children in Phenomenal Pairs…those connections and memories are what it’s all about.
The Blind Treble Reel brought something fun and fresh to the floor, while Premier Step Down the line delivered high energy and fierce performances.
Our St. Patrick’s Day Dance-Off honoured tradition, while Dancer’s Choice Sets gave dancers the chance to express themselves in creative ways and was a pure joy to watch.
Thank you to our fantastic adjudicators who were second to none - from their thoughtful feedback to their professionalism and the way they engaged with dancers throughout the day. They brought so much to the event and helped create a truly encouraging atmosphere.

🖤 Massive thanks to Katie and Karen from the McClennan School and their incredible parents, who made it possible to hold the Blackouts further out than usual and worked the floors and leading upto the event nonstop. Their dedication and support were instrumental in making the day such a success. Huge appreciation also goes to our wonderful OPIDF members, Amanda and Patricia and every single person who helped bring the day together.
