It's our Church Fete this Saturday!

Our Church Fete takes place this coming Saturday 12th July between 2-5pm on the school field in Castor.

The traditional event will open with music from the Yarwell & Nassington Brass Band and will also feature family games, swing boats, a climbing wall, raffles, tombola, plant stalls and face painting.

You can enjoy the dance display from our primary school, Punch & Judy show and even watch the Ladies Wimbledon Tennis Final!
Refreshments will include a licensed bar, teas, cakes and BBQ. And we will round off the afternoon with the much-loved Tug-of-War.

Our afternoon will raise much needed funds for our church, please do come along and help keep the heart of our village beating!

If you are unable to come attend but would like to contribute to our fundraising, you can make a donation to Castor Church using the link below either as a one off gift or regular giving.

St Kyneburgha Festival Update & Call for New Volunteers

Following the hugely successful 900th celebrations last year, we wanted to share an update on the St Kyneburgha Festival. After 28 incredible years of bringing our community together, the festival will be taking a break this year while our church is in interregnum, searching for a new Rector. This pause provides an important opportunity to refresh the organising team and ensure the festival comes back even stronger in 2026.

We are immensely grateful for the unwavering support of our community over the years. Many dedicated committee members have devoted significant time and energy to making the festival the success it has been, and now, the time has come to pass the baton. To continue this beloved tradition, we are looking for a new volunteer to lead the festival committee, as well as additional volunteers to join the team.

If you are passionate about bringing people together and would like to help shape the future of the St Kyneburgha Festival, we would love to hear from you. Please get in touch at [email protected] if you are interested in stepping forward or would like more information about what’s involved.

Thank you once again for your continued support and we look forward to celebrating together again in 2026.
