What is CREATURES OF A BRIEF SEASON all about??

Creatures of a Brief Season is a novel about intimacy born of necessity, and what it means to rethink your life when the one you’d imagined hasn’t gone to plan - which many of us can relate too...

The main characters are Leonard - elderly, overweight he is battling with failing eyesight. He has struggled on after the death of his wife, but really needs a helping hand.

And Vanessa, who after years spent caring for her mother and has been left struggling to find work. Caring for others is not a vocation for her but Leonard becomes her only option for paid work and a home.

As their lives intertwine, something unexpected happens: assumptions begin to shift, boundaries between obligation and companionship become less certain and a beautiful friendship is forged.

Copies of this beautiful book are available to pre-order now and will be with Amazon, Waterstones and most of the independent Cornish bookshops after the books launch on the 18th of September...
