Thanks for sharing your story George and we look forward to welcoming the MyVision Oxfordshire team to 🩷
I'm excited to share that I've signed up for Walk Oxford 2025 and will be walking 23 miles to support MyVision Oxfordshire!
Before I joined MyVision in September 2024, I was feeling quite lost. I have always suffered with confidence due to my visual impairment, making Uni difficult, and subsequently impacting my ability to find work doing what I wanted. I honestly started to doubt myself, my mental health suffered, and felt very negatively about my eye condition.
But then, I found MyVision. Since joining, my whole outlook on life has completely changed for the better! I'm about to finish an internship, I'm flying through a content creation apprenticeship, and I'm working with an amazing organisation whose mission really matters. I've met so many inspiring people here, and the supportive environment encourages me to succeed, try new things, and, most importantly, be myself without worrying about any limitations from my sight loss.
I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity MyVision has given me, and now it's my turn to give back. By taking part in Walk Oxford, I aim to raise funds to support MyVision in their vital mission of helping blind and visually impaired people across Oxfordshire.
Please consider donating and supporting our walk. Every little bit helps make a huge difference in allowing MyVision to continue their services like Green Walks, Social Groups, and helping blind and visually impaired people get connected online. Thank you for your support!
