Owslebury Scarecrow Trail - May 2026

It’s time to get creative again and wow the visitors for the annual Owslebury Scarecrow Trail.

This year’s theme for the now iconic fundraiser is fittingly ‘Iconic People - past and present’.

The trail will be open for the summer half term from Saturday 23 to Sunday 31 May 2026.

Please submit entries by Friday 15 May 2026 - family friendly icons only please! Entry fee £5 per scarecrow. Payable to OMCA by cash or bank transfer (use your surname as the reference please.

As before, no duplicates are allowed so get your ideas in early and have a back up character just in case.

It’s a fun week and completely inclusive - all scarecrows are welcome regardless of artistic or constructive ability!

UPDATE! We can now announce the winning scarecrow makers. Our runners up are Octopus and Operation and the winner is Oscar Piastri! (Pictured in the comments) Congratulations also to the Gould family for completing the trail map correctly for all 42 scarecrows and winning a family round of adventure golf at Marwell Resort.

The scarecrows are back - and this time they all begin with "O"! Come and choose your favourite, and see how many you can identify.

Trail maps £5, available from the Glebe Field outside St. Andrew's Church, 10am-4pm, Saturday 24th May - Sunday 1st June. Refreshments also available.

We’re very excited that it’s almost scarecrow time again! If you live in Owslebury and want to get involved, this year’s theme is the letter “O”. We’re accepting entries until 16th May via [email protected] - just email with the name you’d like for your scarecrow. (NB no duplicates this year so the earlier you contact us, the more likely it is that you can have your choice of character.)

The trail itself will be open between Saturday 24th May to Sunday 1st June 2025. As usual, it will begin in the Glebe Field outside the church. Trail maps available to purchase for a small fee (cash and cards accepted). Prize for the map with the highest number of correct entries…….
