The team at Nottingham Puppet Festival were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ronnie Le Drew. Ronnie was a wonderful puppeteer, and also a true champion for puppetry overall. We were honoured to have him as part of our festival programme on a number of occasions, truly enjoying his warmth, wit and stories. Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends, and all who enjoyed his puppetry over the years.

What an incredible nine days (plus extra community events!) it was at the Nottingham Puppet Festival 2026!

Before the strings are packed away and the rods are put down, we want to say a massive, heartfelt thank you to absolutely everyone who made this magic happen. From our amazing partners City Arts - Nottingham and Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall, and funders the Arts Council and It's in Nottingham to the brilliant creatives and our wonderful designer - and of course, every single one of you who came out to share in the joy and creativity.

A special shoutout also goes to our Festival Director, Alison Denholm for her incredible vision and dedication in bringing this festival to life.
