Kapiti Festival A music, food & art family day festival, 30 minutes drive north of Wellington attracting up to 4000 locals and visitors.

Kapiti Fest celebrates the beautiful surrounds of Queen Elizabeth Park. Over 50 delicious & interesting food, arts, craft and market stalls on offer while some of the regions most superb musicians provide entertainment throughout the day and all for a massive $5! The Surf Life Savers will be patrolling the beach all day to ensure the kids are safe in the water. Tuatara Brewery serves up some fine beverages and be sure to try Kapiti's famous Limoncello! 2012 Kapiti Fest donated 100% of their gold coin donation to the Kapiti Youth Support and in 2014 proudly supported the Child Cancer Foundation. Kapiti Fest is located in one of the regions most picturesque tourist attractions on the coastline in-between Paraparaumu and Paekakariki. Turn into Queen Elizabeth Park from SH1, MacKay's Crossing. It is easy to find and there will be plenty of parking space for cars at the entrance of the park. The festival is held at the beach end, a 10 minute walk from the parking area or you can pay and catch the vintage tram into the heart of the event (unlimited rides throughout the day).
