HOW MANY TRAINERS DOES KIA JOORABCHIAN HAVE TO GO THROUGH BEFORE ONE LASTS?

Given Kia’s history, the obvious question is how much patience will there be if things don’t click quickly?

Ambitious ownership and ruthless standards — or simply too quick to move on?

If a trainer knows horses are under a cloud, why are punters expected to back them blindly?

Aidan O’Brien has now revealed illness had been showing up intermittently in Ballydoyle’s blood tests and scopes.

That immediately raises a serious question. If a yard knows there is a health issue in the background, why is that not being made clear before the public put their money on?

HOW MANY FAREWELLS DOES ONE JOCKEY NEED?

Frankie Dettori has given racing some of its greatest moments, but another comeback is already being talked about.

At some point, surely the repeated returns start to take something away from the original farewell.

Would you love to see Frankie back again — or is it time to finally leave the story where it is?

Is this a breakthrough for racing — or proof the sport has been far too slow?

Saffie Osborne made history yesterday by winning the St Leger on 11/1 shot Highwayman, becoming the first female jockey ever to win a British Classic.

Should Epsom be facing serious questions over track security?

A loose dog somehow got onto the track during a live race at Epsom yesterday, with the field bearing down on it.

Thankfully a serious accident was avoided, but it could very easily have ended very differently for the dog, horses and jockeys.

Racecourses have huge responsibilities when it comes to safety — so how does something like this happen in the first place?

HAS THE ST LEGER BECOME AN O’BRIEN BENEFIT?

Of the 12 horses left in Saturday’s 250th St Leger, seven are trained by Aidan or Joseph O’Brien.

Nobody can question the results or the quality of horses they produce, and Aidan is chasing a remarkable 10th victory in the race. But is this level of dominance actually healthy for British racing?

Is it simply the reward for being better than everyone else — or does a Classic start to lose something when so much of the field comes from the same family?
