What a fabulous event and prize ceremony on Saturday! (Pics to follow!) A huge thank you to all to came along.

Delighted to announce the prizes for the Newent Art Competition 2025, 'A Moment in Time'.

Overall Winner of £300 and a feature article in the Daffodil Line magazine: Ru Goodchild with her beautiful painting, 'Nature's Moment'

Highly Commended:
Gaynor O'Neill with 'Girl with a Flower Earring'
Liz Nichols with 'A Moment in Time'
Christine Thompson with 'In the Moment'
Mirella Carpenter with 'Memories'

Best 15-18 age category:
Joseph Black with 'Failure (Chair Absent)'

Highly Commended:
Alice Lane with 'Time to be Me'
Daisy Obonyo with 'Pause'

Best 9-14 age category:
Holly Bishop with 'A Moment in Time'
Samuel Black with 'The Moment of Awareness'

Congratulations!

There were fabulous art sets for the winner of each age category and chockies and certificates for all the youngsters! Well done all!! If you weren't able to make the prize ceremony do pop by the gallery to collect your prize.

A huge thank you to all you wonderful artists who took part this year and to our judges Bill Anderton, Charles Martell and Newent's Mayor, Sara Hulbert - they didn't have an easy job!

Don't forget you can still visit the exhibition of all the entries here at The Secret Gallery, Newent, which runs until 23rd August

Exciting day ahead with the Newent Art Competition Prize Ceremony this afternoon, Saturday 9th August, 4-6pm, here at The Secret Gallery, Newent.

Come and find out who will win this year's competitions and view the stunning exhibition of entries. There will be Live Music by Bistro Blue and a courtyard bar by Cobblers...

It has been a busy week or so here at The Secret Gallery, Newent, with all the artists bringing their work for the Newent Art Competition Exhibition, which opens today!!! (Wednesday 30th July)

Paintings, sculpture, textiles, glass and more all on the theme of 'A Moment in Time'
