Christmas at the Cathedral started in 2012 as a seasonal concert featuring a range of celebrity performers and special guests. Alongside these performances, the audience hears a number of Christmas readings and can join in singing carols with the choir. The concert raises money for local charities and from 2016 we are pleased to be holding the event in aid of The Sir Bobby Robson Foundation. Nicho

las Cathedral and is fast becoming one of the most talked about events on the Christmas calendar in Newcastle. The concert is produced each year by Ray Laidlaw and Jonathan Wallis. As well as being one of the founding members of the band ‘Lindisfarne’, Ray is the organiser and producer of many events and shows including the ‘Sunday for Sammy’ concerts.
