Midlands Machinery Show 2026 statement ⬇️

The Midlands Machinery Show delivered another strong outing in November this year, with exhibitors and visitors once again turning out in force at Newark Showground as we switched to a one-day format, proving that we can adapt quickly to deliver the best experience for exhibitors and visitors.

However, while the appetite for the show is still strong, after taking on board the views of exhibitors, visitors and our Show Advisory Committee, it is clear that sentiment across the industry is shifting.

As a result, we feel the event would be best served by taking a rest year in 2026, and returning when the farming industry has more clarity about its future, and renewed confidence to invest.

A break now gives the show the best chance of coming back stronger with the goal of delivering an even better event for visitors, and an improved return on investment for our exhibitors.

We are grateful for the continued support from manufacturers, dealers, farmers and the wider industry, and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

The new, one-day format for this year's Midlands Machinery Show has been hailed a success.

Thousands flocked to Newark Showground for the 11th edition of one of the biggest agricultural machinery shows in the UK, to talk to suppliers, gain CPD points and socialise with their peers.

One of the over-riding sentiments from the day was that farmers need more confidence in the industry before they can plan their next business investments.

Read our round-up of the show as we discuss this further, as well as other highlights of the day, including:

🔵 The NFU - National Farmers' Union Midlands Environment Conference
🔵 Budget talking points
🔵 Exhibitor feedback
🔵 New products and demos

Congratulations to the NINE winners of this year's Midlands Agricultural Engineering Apprenticeship Awards 🙌

They were recognised during an awards ceremony, sponsored by B&B Tractors, at the 2025 Midlands Machinery Show at Newark Showground, with each winner receiving a £500 prize, paid in two instalments across their first and second year, to support their development.

The initiative is run by the Newark & Nottinghamshire Agricultural Society, and incoming president, Sir Mark Spencer, praised the winners and the commitment they have shown.

He said: “Congratulations to all the winners of the apprenticeship award. The career path you have chosen is going to be challenging but rewarding. We need the brightest and the best in young engineering talent and it is fantastic to see the enthusiasm and commitment that you are showing for our industry.”
