250 entries last night. Thank you!
Last year we had no budget for filming or photos - we wanted everything to go into your riding experience. We were fortunate that very talented people let us use their photos and clips. What I’m trying to say is that, given our marketing efforts are constrained deliberately, I think it speaks volumes about Rothbury that 250 of you have entered already. We have around 100 entries left. We aren’t in a mad dash to fill it - when it fills, it fills. As we say in the valley, there’s always tomorrow. ❤️❤️

Naturally we think our little event is cool. It’s pretty old school - it’s volunteer run, community centric (overused word but true) and we have tried to create trails that we like, while taking into consideration concerns from partners that were initially reticent to mtb. We’ve attempted to keep the cost of entry as low as possible, as mtb is already expensive enough. Having a go, run what you brung vibe is important. The village gets behind the event - in fact it couldn’t operate without the 100 odd volunteers involved. It’s laid back. It’s beautiful for all sorts of reasons. The kids can play at the pump track or by the river, or wherever you like. If this sounds like your bag, entries go live tonight at 20:00

Trail maintenance commences - we’re working hard to maintain flow and technicality on the trails for 2026. A big thank you to everyone who has given the trail a rest through winter - it allows us to focus on improving rather than simply repairing the trails for 2026.
