Join the hands-on Pigments & Poems session at the Alnwick Playhouse – a brilliant opportunity to explore natural pigments, creativity and storytelling in a relaxed, inspiring setting. The Playhouse is a well-loved local arts hub offering workshops and activities for all ages throughout the year.

A bear, a boy, and a Hundred Acre Wood… and a story that has quietly stayed with us for 100 years.

Join us at the Little Felton Children’s Book Festival as we celebrate the centenary of Winnie-the-Pooh — with our very own 100 Acre Wood Story Walk.

Follow the trail, step into the story, and meet beloved moments from Pooh and his friends along the way. It’s a gentle, imaginative journey for little ones and a nostalgic wander for grown-ups too.

Expect storytelling, smiles, maybe some singing and just a little bit of magic.

Watchout for the Haffalumps though!

Becca Poremba is always inspired by nature to create her artwork. Her book ‘The Moon is Full’ is about leaning into the connections we have to nature and each other as a whole. Becca will be in the beautiful setting of The Plot,
talking about the moon and helping children to connect with nature through art and collage.

Hark! Gather ye round and raise thy goblets high, for this day we celebrateth the birth of good Master William Shakespeare.

Four hundred and sixty-odd years thou hast endured, yet still thy quill doth outshine us all. Thou gavest us star-cross’d lovers, murderous Scots, mischievous fairies, and more dramatic family quarrels than any Christmas dinner.

May thy cake be rich, thy ale be plentiful, and thy candles so many that the Globe itself might fear another fiery finale. Eat heartily, dear bard, lest thou be “too full of cake” – though in truth, that be a tragedy most sweet.

All the world’s a stage, but today the spotlight shineth upon thee.

Happy Birthday, thou absolute legend of iambic pentameter. 🎂🎉🎈
