*** We've got some really sad news so we've tried to lighten it up with a little poem 😥👋🏼❤️***
Three years ago, we had a mad idea
“let’s organise a festival at Porlock Weir
let’s fill these fields with music and fun
folks can gaze at the sea and bask in the sun”
We started off on a rollercoaster ride
And though we look back with bursting pride
My word it was tough along the way
Several times we were close to calling it a day
But we were helped by an incredible gang
And Samphire went off with a massive bang
We did what many said was impossible for sure
We put on a huge party in the heart of Exmoor
But sadly the finances are not looking great
And without an investor to alter our fate
It doesn’t make sense to do it again
Our hearts and pockets face too much pain
So please raise a glass to all you Samphire-rs
Together we’ve picked up a lot of admirers
To all you creatives who made it so arty
To all you revellers who joined in the party!
