The Danesfield Dash (10km, 6.5km & 1km fun run) is back. After a 2 year hiatus Danesfield School PTA is proud to be holding the event again on the 26th March.

There’s a course for everyone with 10km & 6.5km mixed trail and road through the beautiful Chiltern hills and 1km fun run (suitable for buggies and pushchairs).

Entry starts at £10 and there’s a medal for every finisher.

Being International Women's Day, it seems appropriate to share this pic. Just under 50 years ago Kathrine Switzer completed the Boston marathon in 4hr 20mins. Crazy at it might seem today, this was the first time a woman had ever competed in a marathon race. It was not allowed!! Race director Jock Semple tried to remove her from the race but failed. Partly as a result of this, women's running has flourished. We now sell more ladies shoes than men's. So to all our female customers; say a small thank you to Kathrine :)
