You wait 50 years for a Fall festival, then two come along at once. Una Baines and Paula Greenwood are putting on a festival to pay homage to women who were in The Fall, contributed to The Fall, or were in some way influenced by The Fall. The reason the festival ran so smoothly is due to the army of volunteers who calmly and efficiently run the show. Veterans of Louder Than Words Festival, they are led by the praise-averse yet eminently praise-worthy Em Carroll. Amongst their number is a selfie-loving, happi bear called Brian, whose role appears to be performers welfare. May his photos here represent the spirit of the ace team of volunteers.

The irrepressible Grant Showbiz with Steve and Gavin from We Are The Fall podcast. Grant chilled the whole venue out with his solo set on Saturday afternoon, then rocked us with laughter and tears during his Q&A for the podcast recording. Steve and Gavin were every bit the gentlemen we expected them to be, and then some. So good to have them over from Chicago for the weekend. Hopefully, being up close to many Fall faces and in the Manchester environment helped with their appreciation of the group to go alongside their extensive knowledge. Hiya Jackie, Hello Simon. So pleased for these two that the walking tour was such an almighty success. They put a lot of unseen hours in prepping for it. And also pleased that Si is looking at doing a walking tour on a regular basis. There's no one better for it. Apart from the tour, they both had full weekends, Hey! Luciani Q&A for both, quiz team for Jackie, and two slots in his natural habitat behind the drum kit for Si.
