Requests can be a sour subject where weddings are concerned. Its a question I always ask my clients during consultation, and most are happy with requests being taken.

Some don’t and that’s fine and completely understandable. A wedding is a big event, and the last thing a newly married couple needs is their vibe being broken by a dodgy request 😂 and trust me, they do come in. Whether it gets played however is another thing.

But when they do, and they fit that moment…. Tell me you don’t feel like the almighty lord for a split second you realise it’s on its way 😂😂😂

This was one of my most enjoyable weddings to date for Helena & Javi. A difficult one to prep for with a wide array of musical preferences requested in advance of the night itself. Some of which I’d never worked with.

But preparation is key, and that certainly prevailed in the end as everything went as discussed in pre wedding meetings.

Red flags when booking your wedding DJ!

Look out for these, and you will whittle it down to obtaining a Professional DJ who can handle everything from the formalities to hardware failure and you won’t even notice!

1) Lack of Communication

If they are open, transparent & responsive, explain how they work and what they are charging you from the off and get excited about your plans it’s a sure sign they care about your event!

2) Very little Online Presence

Do they take care of their own image? Active social media, up to date website and professional branding?

3) No Reviews

Real reviews from past clients are up there to guide and help you. Not just a ‘recommendation’ but a description of their feedback, the atmosphere and experience.

4) No Video footage

Seeing the reactions from previous bookings and busy dancefloors with genuine results is a big help in what you’re booking.

5) No Backup Plan

PAT tested equipment, Public Liability insurance and what would they if something went wrong? Having that backup plan is as important as having the equipment to do the job!

One of my favourite parts of any wedding is that moment newlyweds walk on the dancefloor for the first time.

Its a pinnacle moment to start the night off, and married life accompanied by music that brings 2 people together! Two people, one song, one moment leading to many more!

They wasn’t expecting this… 🙌🏻 Pt 2

A 90’s classic, an Indie anthem & an EDM No1? Surely not…. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It was the Corona National Final at . EDM was at its Peak and Deep House showering the charts, some played safe, i took risks and came out of my comfort zone for just 20 minutes.

So I tried to switch up my set 🤷🏻‍♂️

I only had 20 minutes, a folder of CDs, yup CD’s…
3x CDJs and 4000 people in front of me 🤯

The pressure was real 🙃

It’s fair to say it went down well anyways 😎
