The Maldon Car Show returned to Promenade Park on Sunday 13th September with a record crowd and over 500 incredible vehicles. The Maldon Mud Race team delivered the successful event in order to add to monies raised from the Maldon Mud Race and these funds will be delivered to Maldon and Essex charities in November 2026
Head of Organising Committee, Brian Farrington said: “We enjoy the support from many local companies but knowing you can rely on names like Borough Flooring & Home, GSM Motor Mechanics, Solitaire Heating & Plumbing, Heating Oil Today, FCJ Transport and Events Factor makes such a difference and we are so grateful to them. They deliver the same service to us as they do to all their customers and we are just amazed at how they always turn up for the charity so a very big thanks to them.
“A huge crowd of car enthusiasts visited and enjoyed superb car care products from Essex-based Icanvalet.com, great food from Maldon High Street restaurant Sark and a wide range of delicious refreshments to suit all tastes and budgets.
“The event was a another huge success but it would be difficult to deliver such a professional event without my great team and the support of Tesco and the Tesco ladies, headed up by Tesco Champion Rhiain Oakley, who did a superb job with our tea tent and Tombola, raising nearly £1,000 on their own!”.
The Maldon Car Show team were lucky with wonderful weather despite forecasts and rain held off for most of the day. Huge crowds visited the free to spectate community event to see the many buses, army vehicles and cars on show including car clubs with Stag, Jaguar, Mercedes, Rolls Royce and Ferrari all bringing numerous models along for visitors to enjoy.
Roy Hemsworth added: “I’m very grateful to the Clubs who came down and the many owners and prestigious names like PT Classics who supported us, transporting cars worth many thousands of pounds down at great expense for enthusiasts to enjoy.”
All the fabulous cars, combined with great music from two bands, Nikki and the Switchblades and One Track Mind plus The Busketeers Choir, and stage hosted by Matt Mackay of BBC Essex made for a super event.
