Just one of the many reasons we support Lyme Regis RNLI. Great to see just some of the amazing work the Lyme Regis lifeboat team do to save lives at sea.
LYME Regis lifeboat crew will once again be featured on the BBC series 'Saving Lives at Sea'.

Greetings Food Rockers! We are so sorry that we have been so quiet the last few months, it certainly wasn’t through choice! When the HIX restaurants went in to administration we were unable to post on our social accounts for a long time and we lost our Food Rocks website too. But we are back! This time last year we were setting up marquees and kitchens and getting ready for the big weekend, but of course due to Covid-19 we had to cancel this years’ Food Rocks back in March. Add to that, the problem with the HIX restaurants going in to administration and losing all of our lovely Food Rocks team.
We are so proud of Food Rocks and what we have achieved over the last 7 years so it’s wonderful to have had so many people asking when it will be revived. All being well, and Covid-19 dependant, we are really hoping it will run in some way next year. Stay tuned and we will update you as and when we can, but we might still be a little quiet for another few months. In the meantime we will keep you entertained with photos from festivals past, remembering the good times that we have all enjoyed together in Lyme Regis!
Thank you to everyone for the continued support of our food festival. We hope to see you in 2021!

Food Rocks was founded by Mark Hix in 2012 to celebrate the fantastic produce that the South West has to offer while raising funds for the Fishermen’s Mission and RNLI. Each year the festival has grown and continued to raise thousands of pounds for the charities over the years. Each year the two-day food extravaganza curated by Mark himself, brings together the best of Dorset food and drink, celebrated chefs and local producers from the surrounding regions. Both days will see a jam-packed programme of chef demonstrations, food and drink to take home, supper clubs and a raffle of amazing prices from all the producers and chefs. The event is free to attend and suitable for all the family.
To kick of the Food Rocks festival weekend, Mark Hix will be joined by Mitch Tonks to host a special meat feast showcasing Glenarm Estate beef on Friday 7th September. Saturday night sees the annual crab and mackerel feast return due to popular demand.
Join us in the main tent above Marine Parade for a 5 course feast with a Salcombe gin cocktail on arrival. As always it's a rustic affair with long feasting tables and recyclable plates and cutlery. Buy your drinks on the night choosing from HIX beers, Lyme Bay Wines and Castlewood British sparkling wine.
