🔔 We're thrilled to announce Ryman in Rhythm, a series of live jazz performances inspired by the late American painter Robert Ryman – the subject of a new major retrospective in Barbican Centre Art Gallery.

Moved by Ryman’s love of jazz, alumni from our Take Five talent development programme including Sarathy Korwar, Tyrone Isaac-Stuart and Soweto Kinch, will respond to the exhibition with live performances in the gallery.

Ryman in Rhythm will showcase some of the most versatile names in British jazz today. With sounds ranging from traditional bebop and acoustic jazz through to hip-hop and Indian folk, each artist will present a special live performance inspired by Robert Ryman’s lifelong relationship with music and improvisation. An exclusive exhibition viewing will be included in the ticket for each performance

We’re sorry to announce that William Tyler will no longer be performing at EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) next Tuesday 15 September due to passport issues.

William has shared the following message: “Hi everyone. In what is a shocking occurrence, my passport was either stolen or misplaced, and since I cannot get a replacement passport in time to make these shows, I am having to cancel this tour. I’m incredibly sorry and disappointed and hope I can play for you in the near future.”

If you purchased a ticket for this show, you will receive a full refund.

🚨 BE PART OF THE EFG LONDON JAZZ FESTIVAL 2026

Want to get behind the scenes of one of London’s biggest music festivals?

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers for this year’s EFG London Jazz Festival, taking place 13–22 November 2026.

A variety of opportunities are available, from helping out the backstage teams to capturing content at shows. Volunteers will receive a daily stipend for food and travel and get free tickets to selected shows.

Just announced - Jennifer Walton announced as support for
William Tyler who performs at EartH (Evolutionary Arts Hackney) next month!

London-based musician Jennifer Walton is a beloved figure across various sectors of the alternative music underground. Her debut album 'Daughters' explores grief, memory and surreal Americana. Walton is also known for her work with Cryalot, Microplastics, Iceboy Violet and BABii, as well as remixing for Metronomy.

After years touring with Lambchop and Silver Jews, William Tyler stepped out on his own to forge a singular path in instrumental guitar music, bringing his distinctive take on American roots to the stage.
