Some pics from our trip to, this weekend just gone. I have just about recovered! Thanks to everyone who came to say hi and went home with some Urban Purl yarn - always lovely to see old yarnie friends and make new ones. and a special thanks to all you lovely vendors and my neighbour vendors , julietillyflop, , .handmade, @ .avec.anna ,, , , , , , , , , , , , and everyone else I failed to mention - sorry my brain is still a bit fried 🤯. And we actually got to see a small fraction of Bristol city centre this time when we had dinner Saturday night at the lovely for some yummy fresh fish n chips 👌🏼

We had a very special guest visit the stand yesterday : the fantabulous Miss Knitty Barbie came to say hello with her book How to Knit - I’m sure you’ll agree that at 54 she ‘s looking great! In her stunning knitwear 🧶 and boots.

My wonderful sample knitter Suzanne has just sent this beauty back to me! She managed to knit, block, and deliver it in under two weeks — and I couldn’t be happier.

✨ The dark green version is my sample, knitted in Silkie Singles and Silk Mohair Lace, both in the colourway Ostara — a rich, lush forest green.
✨ The glorious pink version is Jo’s stunning sample, knitted in Merino Singles in Durty Flamingo with Silk Mohair in Pink Soda.

This is the brand new Beks Shawl by Joanna — and it truly is a thing of beauty. The perfect size for a light wrap-style scarf, it adds warmth, colour, and effortless style to any outfit.

I’m already planning to cast one on myself 😉 There are so many gorgeous colour combinations to explore, and I’ve put together a small selection of one-off pairings for you to see in person.

Unravel is fast approaching — so what will I have in store for you? 🧶

I’ll be bringing lots of delicious colour combinations 🧶 for the brand new neck shawl pattern from Joanna of : the Beks Shawl. It’s a gorgeous, wearable two-skein project, knit in either merino or a silkie single paired with silk mohair lace ✨🧵

I’m putting together one-off colour combos (some pictured above) along with the colourway used for the sample (Durty Flamingo & Pink Soda) — which I’ll have with me on the stand at 🏷️🧶

I’ll also have more kits for the super-cute crochet Flower Puff Bag 🌸🧶, in the original sample colourways, and a few other small two-skein yarn sets to make choosing yarn for that project a little bit easier 🤍 And of course, I’ll have my usual yarn bases in plenty of gorgeous colours too 🌈🧶

I always look forward to this show — it has such a great vibe and an amazing mix of vendors 💛✨
