Girls and boys a quick information post:
Tomorrow is round 2 of the L2D drift challenge.
Venue - Standlake arena - the Thunderdrome.
Anyone can take part:
Drivers taking part in the pm competition must be at drivers briefing:
Drivers briefing is 9am:

Drivers taking part in Saturday & Sundays event, have free entry into the competition.
Drivers only doing Saturday’s event will be charged £45 entry on top of their drivers space for the day.
Drivers bands can be purchased on the gate.
We will ether run a top 32 or top 16 subject to the amount of drivers taking part.
Rules:
Noise is not to exceed 95db.
Note: a downturn is not mandatory but if the noise of your car is exceeding the above limit you will be asked to hush your cars gums. A downturn might assist.
Tyre sizes not to exceed 225 profile on rear.
Crash helmets & fire extinguishers within drivers reach are mandatory. No semi slicks on the rear are permitted for competition.
Format of the day:
8am gates open
Drivers briefing 9am.
Practice till 12:30/1pm
Qualifying and into battles.
Once the battles have been completed, subject to time and noise of cars we will re open for practice till the end of the day.
Over night Camping is permitted for drivers only and pit crews taking part in both Saturday & Sundays event.
Normal L2D rules apply to anyone stopping over.
Spectators are not permitted to stop overnight on site.
The main gate will be closed at 7pm and locked by 8pm anyone wishing to get out post this time must leave their road cars outside the main gate in the lay-by,
Noise is to a minimal post 7pm and no reving engines etc.
Respect for the venue is at it highest and this will be our second event we have run with overnight camping, let’s look after the venue and the locals so this weekender can happen in 2027.
Ikle Kieron does love to sit on someone acting up, or being a prat and that’s the whole weight of the world coming down on you… trust me.
Driver bands £50 for each days.
Passenger bands £20 for each days (passengers are not permitted in qualifying or battles)
General admission £5 for anyone over 14 years old.
A free sun visor is given to any driver who qualifies into the battles and must be worn in the L2D drift Challenge.
Note: drift events don’t normally take part on a Saturday, so drivers are advised low key into and out of the arena, anyone acting up will be refused entry.
