We are back at Chelsea Flower show celebrating 10 years of reuse at the show. Over the last decade we have rehomed over 100000 plants to over 1000 schools, community groups, hospitals fire brigadesand many other underfunded groups, to improve people's access to green space.
This year is especially exciting as we have a stand at the show to help tell people where the amazing plants and materials and trees from the show go. (And we got Silver Gilt!!!)
This stand has two great stories, the first is our shed, this has been donated by and will go on to become our new tool library at Wayward plants new community garden and reuse center, Cultivate Colindale.
The second is how this space came together, the entire fitbout is built from waste with the help of our carpenters and volunteers, and every single plant has come from the excess at this year's show build. A fun challenge designing in situe and in just three days!
As you can imagine this is a massive undertaking each year. This initiative and this stand wouldn't be possible without a lot of support.
Most important, out tireless Volunteers, pre and post show, there are hundreds of you, many of whom return with your support year on year, we could not do this without you and we can't wait to see you at many shows to come.
A big thanks to for a decade of collaboration, trust and support, from the incredible show team to the brilliant ground crew.
Second to for our new and very green tool library and all the construction help during this intense time!
Our amazing team led by our new reuse coordinator Harry, and support crew from , Harrang and Marius.
Our incredible carpenters Hannah Lillie and Eddie!
All the gardens who donated these amazing plants, with a special shout to and for your generosity.
And finally to our partners, Richard and Glen, for putting up with us and this insanity as well as always showing up when we need extra hands
Please come and visits us at Cultivate Colindale this summer, we are building, growing and having a lot of fun! Hope to see you there!
