Speaker Announcement: Former British Heavyweight Champion Joins Cannabis Europa 🥊

We're proud to welcome former British Heavyweight champion Derek Chisora to the stage next week, where he’ll deliver an Opening Remarks address to Cannabis Europa delegates on Tuesday 26 May at The Barbican.

Beyond his career in the ring, Derek is a medical cannabis patient, using a prescribed treatment to manage chronic pain after more than two decades in professional boxing.
For Derek, the conversation starts with awareness: "I think the biggest issue right now is education," he said. "There are 28 million people living with chronic pain, but many still don't understand the legal pathway or even realise medical cannabis exists in a regulated form in the UK."

His story reflects a reality for many patients across the UK and Europe — that medical cannabis, accessed through proper clinical channels, can play a vital role in managing long-term pain. Bringing that lived experience to the conversation helps break down stigma and puts a human face to the issues our industry works on every day.
