From films to workshops and interactive walks to wild parties, we’ll be hosting over 30 diverse events, to tickle every one of your senses in our signature blend of plush cinemas and grungy guerilla venues around the east end. and we’ll be showing great new cinema, experimental and DIY film, old classics and provocative shorts. We showcase an enhanced events programme alongside the films collabor

We’ve been LOVING seeing all your gorgeous faces at the festival this week 😍

Take a look at some of our (best) bits so far to get into the mood for our big q***r weekend that’s about to kick off 🎉

Tonight: This eve is all about the future - check out the future of trans filmmaking behind and in front of the camera in THIEVING ANGELS (6:30pm) or dive into how we imagine our q***r futures with a fab panel in CONNECTING THREADS (6:30pm) before we all blast off into space together in CELESTIAL BODIES AND OTHER SPACE ODDITIES (9pm) 🚀

Tomorrow: Don’t miss presenting a rare screening of the shorts of s*x worker, activist and filmmaker Mirha Soeli-Ross (5:15pm) or get a dose of 🔥poetry at I STILL HOLD THE ROCK YOU GAVE ME (5pm). Then head into the big top with CIRCO (8:30pm) or go into the night w us and some great q***r music at Potent Portals and our afterparty (9pm)

Sunday: Get your dose of analogue experiments with REELNESS (3pm) and have an end of fest with us and featuring a DJ set by .will.see.you.now (8:30pm)

“Gut-busting, ass-erupting and immoderately whorish” but enough about us, that’s also how filmmaker, s*x worker and activist Mirha Soleil-Ross has been described.

We’re thrilled to welcome back to present a rare screening of Ross’ works. Emerging in the ’90s, Ross collaborated with t4t lover Xanthra MacKay and the Quebec Trans*xuals Association. Her tapes blur documentary, autobiography, and provocation, documenting trans and s*x worker communities with care.

Our Story

Since 2011, Fringe! Q***r Film & Arts Fest has been a volunteer-run organisation rooted in London's q***r creative scene. In Novembers, and throughout the year, we showcase an eclectic mix of films, arts and events celebrating LGBTIQA+ stories from around the world, welcoming everybody.

Fringe! started in 2011 as a community response to arts cuts carnage, and since then we’ve ‘expanded exponentially to become one of the most innovative and exciting festivals on the circuit.’(Londonist)

From feature films to experimental installations, workshops and lively debates to wild parties, Fringe! hosts a multitude of diverse events to tickle every one of the senses. You'll see us flooding East London's cinemas, art galleries, pop-up venues and basement clubs with the powerful, provocative and strange.

As we continue to develop and our Fringe! family continues to grow, some things stay the same: a lot of our screenings and events are free or affordable, we remain open to new voices and ideas, and we’ll always be q***r: celebratory but critical as hell.
