Percussionist, composer and producer Sarathy Korwar is the first artist announced for our Barking Riverside programme at this year’s EFG London Jazz Festival.

Opening the evening with a solo set, Sarathy will then be joined by London-based saxophonist, woodwind player and composer Chris Williams for a special duo performance to close the night.

Celebrate the intricate, emotional world of Japanese author Haruki Murakami this November.

For one day only, experience a specially curated Japanese listening club live from the Barbican Hall and step back in time into the world of Peter Cat, the legendary Tokyo jazz club run by literary icon Haruki Murakami.

Through reinterpreted jazz classics, spoken word, immersive visuals and evocative stage design, audiences are invited to travel between stories and soundscapes - and perhaps even catch a glimpse of Peter Cat itself.

Featuring performances from Japan’s finest jazz artists: Junko Onishi Trio, Sachi Hayasaka / TReS and Yoshio Suzuki’s The Blend with Kosuke Mine, Keisuke Nakamura, Hakuei Kim, Tamaya Honda

🚨 BE PART OF THE EFG LONDON JAZZ FESTIVAL 2026

Want to get behind the scenes of one of London’s biggest music festivals?

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers for this year’s EFG London Jazz Festival, taking place 13–22 November 2026.

A variety of opportunities are available, from helping out the backstage teams to capturing content at shows. Volunteers will receive a daily stipend for food and travel and get free tickets to selected shows.

Discover Irish music collective Robocobra Quartet and don't miss as they bring new music live to the ICA on Thursday 19 November as part of this year's Festival.

Experimentation is at the core of Robocobra Quartet, whether it be in the fluid line-up (musicians tagging in and out to make up the live touring quartet) or in their unique approach to recording and writing in their hometown of Belfast, N. Ireland.

These juxtapositions are just the beginning of the complex world of Robocobra Quartet - a band serious about their music but humorous in their approach, including members with no musical training alongside members with music conservatoire pedigree. The result is a collective of musicians inspired by Stravinsky and Dead Kennedys in equal measures.
