What a weekend at The Fertility Show🩵.

The Fertility Show really is a special place, bringing together charities, experts, brands, all into one place. But more than anything it’s the people who come to the show who make it what it is. The conversations and stories that really do highlight to us why we do what we do. Thank you so much to everyone who came and found us and stopped for a chat, however long.

Partnering with Avenues Clinic for this stand was really special. Watching their doctors offer free consultations, (who recommend O**M’s Time to Conceive For Women and Time to Conceive For Men), was such a powerful thing to be a part of. Making expert guidance accessible to everyone who came to the show, regardless of where they are in their journey.

We need more spaces, more conversations, and more education designed to support those going through fertility concerns. We hope this continues to grow and are ready to be a part of that.

We are going to say something that doesn’t get said enough: your age is not the only thing affecting your egg health.

Age matters, yes. But the science also tells us that a key mechanism linked to egg quality is oxidative stress; an imbalance between free radicals and your body’s antioxidant defences. And oxidative stress isn’t caused by age alone.

Diet, smoking, environmental toxins, chronic stress, and BMI can all influence oxidative stress levels in the ovarian environment.

Meaning two people of the same age can have very different egg health, shaped by factors that go beyond their date of birth.

This is why the 90 days before ovulation matters. That window is when your eggs are maturing, and responsive to the environment within them.

Age is part of the picture. But it’s not the whole story, and it’s certainly not the only lever available🩵

Eggs mature over roughly a 90-day window. During this time, key processes such as cell division, DNA replication and maturation take place. These processes are sensitive to nutrient availability, oxidative stress, and overall health💪.
