Heading to Pirate Rave at Battersea Barge on 9 August? Here’s the general access information you need to know before you arrive ⚓️
We know it’s always nice to know what to expect, especially if it’s your first time visiting the venue, so here’s a quick guide to help you plan your day.
The event takes place aboard Battersea Barge, a permanently moored floating venue on the River Thames. Although it’s on a boat, it doesn’t leave the dock during the event, so you’ll be enjoying all the pirate ship atmosphere without setting sail.
The venue is split across three levels. The lower deck is home to the dancefloor, DJs and toilets. The middle deck is where you’ll find the bar, with plenty of space to grab a drink, food and catch up with friends, and you’re welcome to take your drinks between decks. The upper deck is the perfect spot if you fancy a break from dancing, want some fresh air or just want to enjoy the view over the river.
Please note that once you’ve entered the venue, re-entry isn’t available, so make sure you’ve got everything you need before coming aboard. Don’t forget to bring a valid photo ID, and remember that outside food and drinks aren’t permitted.
If you’re planning on dressing up, we’d absolutely love to see it. Pirate looks, sea witches, undead sailors and all kinds of nautical chaos are encouraged, but there’s no pressure at all. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable, we’re just excited to have you there!
Accessibility: Battersea Barge is a historic floating venue, which means access between decks is via stairs. If you have any accessibility questions or specific requirements before attending, please get in touch with our access manager ahead of the event and we’ll do our best to help.
Whether you’re joining us for your first Necropolis or you’re already part of the crew, we can’t wait to welcome you aboard for a full day of dark disco, darkwave, EBM, techno, new beat and everything in between.
See you on 9 August! 🖤
