We had our first 3 Fringe performances of "History Has No Safe Word" at the weekend at BrightonStMary where we were well-looked-after by the wonderful Philip, and were honoured to play for our lovely and highly-discerning audiences.
Looking forward to the last 3 shows on 15th an 16th May.

Played last night for the first time to a very appreciative audience in Arundel.

This is Professor Nathan Zangari. He's at the Belfast Sleep Clinic, because he's struggling to get a good kip.
He also can't get published and he can't get laid!
At the clinic, in his sleep, he talks in Latin, seemingly "channelling" a young Pompeian woman.
As a hot MA student, Callie, co-opts herself to replace the clinic and monitor him at night, they each begin an adventure into the past, each heading towards their own... extinction.
So.... Thanks to all of you I've bumped into who've asked me if I'm "ok"? This was a publicity shot. I'm good thanks!

Another run through on Saturday and it's feeling another layer of better. By dint of dreamwork and a comfy bed, I can now rehearse simultaneously in AD 2026 and in AD 79.

Bernie wants his pub to be “child friendly”, a party atmosphere, a sort of… Santa’s Grotto, with himself as Father Christmas. But he’s so busy making his dream come true, that his own ten year-old son, Teddy, doesn’t get a look in. Blind to his son’s need for love, his wife’s need for moderation and his best friend’s need for honesty, Bernie sails his prized ship, The Toby, directly and decisively, onto the rocks. Funny, full of laughter, moving, disturbing, poignant, and emotionally satisfying.

Bernie wants his pub to be “child friendly”, a party atmosphere, a sort of… Santa’s Grotto, with himself as Father Christmas. But he’s so busy making his dream come true, that his own ten year-old son, Teddy, doesn’t get a look in. Blind to his son’s need for love, his wife’s need for moderation and his best friend’s need for honesty, Bernie sails his prized ship, The Toby, directly and decisively, onto the rocks.
