Launching at our music festival this weekend!
‼️ Exciting News from Headingley Children’s Centre!
As many of you know, since 2022 we haven’t had a permanent space in Headingley, after our previous building was sadly closed due to safety concerns. Ever since then, we’ve held onto a dream - to find a new, safe, welcoming space for our children and families.
It’s been a challenging journey, and we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us along the way or was trying to help. We’re especially grateful to Leeds Libraries in Headingley for so generously opening their doors and hosting our Babble & Books sessions, Headingley St Columba United Reformed Church and, of course, the amazing Shire Oak Primary School! 🧡
Now, after a longer wait than we hoped, we are absolutely thrilled to announce... the new Headingley Children’s Centre space is opening!
💚 Join us this Saturday 21st June, 12:00-4:00pm during the Headingley Youth Music Festival 2025 as we officially open the doors to our magical new home - a beautiful, cosy teepee space that we know you and your children will fall in love with.
We will have two FREE sessions on this day:
1:00pm - 1:30pm Music & Movement Session
3:00pm - 3:30pm Babble & Books Session
❗️ From now on our Babble & Books sessions will run from here (C/o Shire Oak Primary School, Wood Lane, Headingley, LS6 2DT), on a Thursday beginning 26th June with a new extended time of 10am-11am, and we can’t wait to welcome you.
We will keep you updated with our plans to provide more activities in due course.
One famous woman, mum of six, once said “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams” - and we hope our new Headingley space becomes a symbol of just that.
With love and excitement,
Headingley, Horsforth and Ireland Wood Children's Centre Team
