🌟 A Message from Wisdom on Wellness Ltd. 🌟
Hello WOW Fest Community,
We’re writing with some big news…
After much consideration, we’ve decided to make the difficult decision to pause WOW Fest for 2025.
This hasn’t been an easy decision, but it’s the right one for now. Over the past year, we put significant time, energy, and thousands of financial investment into relocating WOW Fest to a new venue - the stunning West Horsley Place. Lots of resources went into ensuring the venue was fully compliant with health and safety regulations, and we filmed stunning videography and photography to showcase these spaces for years to come. The plan was for this massive upfront investment to pay off over the next three years, making future festivals easier to manage and grow.
Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. Unexpected challenges arose, including misinformation about available dates. The venue were unable to accommodate our preferred dates in July, and moving the festival to August proved impossible for us. Competing with thousands of other festivals, summer holidays, and exhibitor commitments in late August is simply not viable for WOW Fest.
Faced with the reality of starting over and making such significant investments again, we have had to make the heartbreaking decision to park our wonderful WOW Fest for now. This however has no impact or effect on The London Gem & Mineral Show.
This huge change with the future of WOW Fest also prompted a bigger decision and opportunity for Mary to step back from co running the WOW business altogether. While stepping back has been an incredibly tough and personal decision, prioritising her mental and physical wellbeing, along with her other passions, is what’s most important - in the very spirit of why WOW started! The great news is that co-founders Mary and Alix remain great friends (not husband and wife 😂), and Mary will still be part of the WOW journey on a freelance basis, supporting the business behind the scenes and making appearances at some of our future events.
Looking ahead, we’re more committed than ever to keeping the WOW community alive. While WOW Fest is on hold, we’re shifting gears towards smaller, more intimate events that reflect our values and bring people together in meaningful ways. Plus, we’ve got big plans for expanding The Gem and Mineral Show, including bringing in new team members and resources to take it to the next level - stay tuned for some exciting announcements soon!
Thank you for being part of this incredible journey with us. This isn’t goodbye - it’s the beginning of a new and exciting phase for WOW, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
