Kew and Ham Sports Association Ltd is a non profit-making company formed in 1996 to protect the interest of Ham Playing Fields and to promote sport within the borough of Richmond, and in particular the ward of Ham. The company is run by a group of volunteers who have sport and community in their interests. At present we have three member sports clubs; Richmond and Kew AFC , Old Blues and Richmond
Baseball. We also run a football Academy run by professional coaches for children between 5-7 years of age on Saturday morning. The company is run by a board of non remunerated directors who work closely with all our users to ensure that we are delivering the very best facilities at the most sustainable, achievable and affordable levels. At present Ham Playing Fields consists football pitches of various sizes, covering all ages. 3 3G pitches and a full size Baseball diamond and Softball area. During the summer of 2011 the company increased its pitch availability with the introduction of a 7-aside and a 9-aside junior Football pitches to allow for an expansion of under 7/8/9/10โs Football which from season 2011/12 required these reduced size facilities. In addition to the junior sized pitches we are also looking into the possibility of offering a further full sized adult pitch for regular hire. Kew and Ham Sports Association works closely with the London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames Council to promote sport and physical activity within the borough. We follow a detailed Service Level Agreement (SLA) as part of our partnership which ensures that the facilities are used all year round by a summer and winter sport and that there is a focus on the development of children and young adults as well as the community at large.
