Join us on Sunday 24th May for a great afternoon of food, music and fun for all the family ๐ฅณ๐๐ป๐๐๐ช One of the most popular events in the South Hams, Prawle Fair is like stepping back in time with all the old favourite attractions such as swing boats, childrenโs train ride, test your strength, slippery pole, hoopla, raffles, childrenโs tug of war and lots more. A childrenโs fancy dress competition f
ollows the traditional raising of the glove and later in the afternoon there are knobbly knees and handsomest ankles contests for anyone who wants to exhibit their leggy charms. There is live music on the green all afternoon from the excellent Hogwash and refreshments are available all afternoon from various stalls around the fair, and of course from the Piglet Cafe and the Pigs Nose Inn. Prawle Fair is a great community effort with lots of the villagers involved in one way or the other. It is run annually to raise money for the upkeep of Prawle Community Hall and to support various local good causes. The fair starts at 2pm and goes on to around 5pm, depending on the weather and how much fun everyone is having!
