Last night’s finale with was the perfect way to round off the Cowes Fringe Bank Holiday weekend. 🎶✨

East Cowes Town Hall came alive with iconic music, brilliant musicianship and an incredible atmosphere as audiences were taken on a journey through more than 70 years of music history, celebrating artists including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Cilla Black, Oasis and Adele.

A huge thank you to the fantastic cast for delivering such an energetic, polished and memorable performance. The audience response throughout the evening was amazing, and it was wonderful to see so many people jumping to their feet to dance, sing along and enjoy the show.

We’re also incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the event, including the generous support of Cowes Waterfront Trust, whose sponsorship helped children attend The Cavern Club Story free of charge.

A huge thank you to the incredibly talented Jennie Vacher, winner of The Island’s Got Talent, for bringing our gala evening to a beautiful close last night at Cowes Fringe. 🎶✨

Following an unforgettable evening with Sir Derek Jacobi, Jennie treated the audience to a half-hour set filled with warmth, power and elegance — the perfect finale to a truly special night in support of Mountbatten Hospice.

Her voice and stage presence were simply wonderful and rounded off the evening perfectly.

What an extraordinary evening. 🎭

Last night, Sir Derek Jacobi took to the stage at Cowes Fringe in conversation with Richard Clifford for a truly unforgettable gala evening in support of

Listening to Sir Derek reflect on his remarkable life and career — with stories spanning stage and screen was an absolute privilege. We were astounded to hear how many times he has performed Hamlet over the course of his extraordinary career, alongside the wonderful anecdotes and memories he shared from decades working with so many other giants of theatre and film.

Backdropped by photographs and footage from across his life, the evening was filled with warmth, humour, wisdom and joy.

The evening also featured a charity auction for Mountbatten Isle of Wight, expertly auctioneered by Nick Bonham, with bidders keenly competing for every prize offered. We look forward to bringing you the final fundraising total for Mountbatten very soon.

A truly special night for Cowes Fringe. ✨
