π’π’βRACE DAY INFO FOR RUNNERS π’π’β
Hello runners,
Thank you for entering this yearβs Skye Bridge 10K.
We look forward to seeing you in Kyleakin on Saturday and hope you will enjoy the challenge of running our scenic course.
Before you arrive, here is all the race day information for all participantsβ¦.
β’ Runners should pick up their race numbers at the Kyleakin Connections Nice Cafe. The building is located opposite the main Kyleakin car park and near the start line. Location is here: π https://maps.app.goo.gl/cFqQtnBsVY2Uy6se6
PLEASE NOTE - this is different from previous years so please do not go to Kyleakin Hall.
β’ Registration will be open from 10am until 11.30am β please ensure entries are made online by 2pm on Friday.
β’ There will be toilets, changing rooms and showers available at the Kyleakin Community Hall, but because of the Gala also taking place, parking on the day is at the main Kyleakin Car park in the centre of the village.
β’ This car park is where the race starts and finishes.
β’ The race will start at 12 noon
β’ Marshals will line the route at all junctions and crossings.
β’ Runners should stick to the pavement - this is especially important crossing the bridge, as the pavement deviates from the road in a couple of sections
β’ There will be water stations on the route, and a first aid team on hand
β’ We will have a short childrenβs fun run (approx one mile) to take place after the main race has started, starting at finishing at the car park.
β’ All runners will receive a medal on completion of the race, and there will be free soup & sandwiches at Kyleakin hall for runners.
β’ Full race results will be posted on our Facebook site after the race.
Hopefully, that covers everything, but anyone with any other questions please donβt hesitate to get in touch.
All the very best to all those taking part, and thanks are extended to all who help and support the event β notably The Isle of Skye Estate Agency for their generous sponsorship.
All proceeds from the race are going to help local good causes in the Kyleakin and south Skye areas.
See you Saturday!πβοΈπβοΈπ.
